Schengen Tourist Visa (Type C) - Valid for 90 Days

• Which country to apply:

  • Single country visit: Apply to that country's embassy/consulate.
  • Multiple countries: Apply at the embassy of the one where you'll spend the most time.
  • Equal stay in multiple countries: Apply at the embassy of first entry.
• Where to apply: VFS Global specific country website, followed by personal submission of documents.
• Documents:

  • Valid Passport:
    • At least 6 months validity beyond your planned return date
    • At least two blank pages
  • Schengen Visa Application Form – fully completed and signed
  • Passport-Size Photos – 35 × 45 mm, white background
  • Confirmed Round-Trip Flight Itinerary – booking/reservation showing entry and exit from the Schengen Area
  • Proof of Accommodation – hotel bookings or invitation letter if staying with friends/family
  • Travel Insurance – minimum €30,000 coverage for medical emergencies and repatriation
  • Proof of Sufficient Funds:
    • Recent bank statements (last 6 months showing ending balance of approx 10,000 INR per day)
    • Salary slips, ITR, or additional financial documents
    • Business formation letters etc. (in case of self-employed)
    • Cover Letter – personal letter explaining purpose of travel, itinerary/dates, and intent to return to India
  • Visa Processing time Approx 20-25 days
  • Visa duration & fees Tourist visa of 90 Days: Approx 10000 INR
• Important Note

  • Biometric data (fingerprints + photo) must be provided in person once every ~5 years at your first application in India.
  • Attend your scheduled appointment at the visa center to submit documents and pay the fees
  • Print colored documents
